Dr. Janet felicitates With Muslim Faithfuls On Eid-El Fitr Celebration

The Cross River State Commissioner for Health, Dr Janet Ekpenyong has felicitated with Muslim Faithfuls in the state on the occasion of this year's Eid Mubarak Celebration signalling the end of the month long Ramadan exercise as she calls for peace and harmony among major religions. Dr Ekpenyong who stated this in a congratulatory message noted that, the togetherness of the all and sundry is critical for the actualization of a new Nigeria which we all aspire and dream of for us and the generation yet unborn. According to her, the state all through it's history has enjoyed a peaceful coexistence between the major religions and others which has profiled Cross River State as the most peaceful state in the federation. CRSPHCDA PARTNERS WITH AFRICA CDC, SENSIRIZES STUDENTS ON THE IMPORTANCE OF VACCINATION

The Cross River State Primary Healthcare Development Agency (CRSPHCDA) in partnership with Africa Center for Disease Control (CDC) has today the 20th day of April, 2023 sensitized the students of the University of Calabar, Calabar on the need to partake in the ongoing vaccination exercises across the nation. The exercise which took place at the University's's Open Pavilion, with the help of health workers from the agency, attracted hundreds of students who were vaccinated. The Director General of the Agency, Deaconess (Mrs.) Abasioffiong Offiong, while addressing the students, reminded them that "Health is Wealth," while stressing further that it takes an individual who is healthy and alive to achieve all the set goals of life including graduating successfully. UNICROSS Alumni President, Abeng re-elected Zonal Chairman PENGASSAN

The National President, University of Cross River State (UNICROSS) Alumni Association Comrade Eyam Abeng have been declared winner and returned re-elected as the Chairman, Petroleum and Natural Gas Senior Staff Association (PENGASSAN) Lagos Zone which comprises of Lagos , Ogun, Osun, Oyo, Ekiti, Ondo and Kwara states respectively. The election and immediate inauguration which took place at the 7th Triennial Delegates Conference of PENGASSAN held on the 18th day of April, 2023 at Park Inn Hotel Abeokuta with about eighty (80) delegates present from different branches of PENGASSAN in Lagos zone. An envoy from the United State International Development (USAID) team paid a visit to the Cross River State Ministry Of Health on their arrival to the State for a fact finding inspection and appraisal visit and to further collaborate with Cross River State Government in tackling diseases in the state. The President-elect, Sen. Bola Tinubu and his wife, Oluremi Tinubu, on Tuesday donated over 100,000 combo packs of food items to Nigerians in Abuja and other parts of the country. The donations were made on their behalf by the National Women Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr Betta Edu. At the flag-off of the donations at the National Mosque, Abuja, Edu said that the gesture was in the spirit of Easter celebration and Ramadan fast for both Christians and Muslims. She said the idea behind the donations was to show love to Nigerians as she called on everyone to pursue peace and security of lives and to pray for the country during this period.
