UNICEF ACTIVATES YOMA PROGRAMME IN UNICROSS, CHARGES STUDENTS ON LEARNING TO EARN

Students of the University of Cross River State (UNICROSS) have been charged to embrace the Youth Agency Market Place (YOMA) platform to unlock, build and transform their future, upskill and showcase their skills, make a difference, earn rewards and enrich their CV by taking part in the impact challenges which the platform offers.  The call for participation in the UNICEF sponsored programme was given on Wednesday, November 9, 2022 during the YOMA Activation Programme held at the New Mass Communication Block of the university.  The Dean of Students Affairs, Dr. Antigha in his goodwill message admonished the students to make good use of the opportunity which the programme presents saying "When you train your hand to do something, you will not be depending on what the country can do for you. UNICAL VC urges NAE to proffer solutions to Nigeria’s educational challenges

  Prof. Florence Obi, Vice Chancellor, University of Calabar, on Wednesday charged members of the National Academy of Education (NAE), to proffer solutions towards addressing challenges facing the education sector. Obi gave the charge in Calabar at the 36 annual congress of the NAE holding in the institution, also called on the Academy to formulate sustained policies that would reform the educational system in the country.   World Health Organization is working worldwide to promote health, keeping the world safe, and serve the vulnerable. It advocates that a billion more people should have; universal health care coverage, engagement with the monitoring of public health risks, coordinating responses to health emergencies, and promoting health and well-being. It also provides technical assistance to countries, sets international health standards, and collects data on global health issues. To curb the numerous outbreak of Cholera, diarrhea and other waterborne diseases especially during this period of high flood, the organization has supported the State Health Ministry with surveillance/rapid response management commodities.
