In a remarkable display of interfaith unity and cultural appreciation, Dr. Betta Edu hosted the 15th Emir of Kano, His Highness Alh. Aminu Ado Bayero, CFR, alongside the Acting Governor of Cross River State, Rt. Hon. Peter Odey, and other dignitaries for the breaking of Ramadan fast (Iftar) at her residence in Calabar.
The Vice Chancellor of the University of Calabar, Prof. Florence Obi, led the Chairman and members of the University's Governing Council, the Management team, and students to the gathering. Also in attendance were leaders of the Muslim community in Cross River State and other Muslim faithful.
