Dr Alex Egbona, the member representing Abi/Yakurr Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives turned 60 on October 15. But on October 20, he decided to celebrate the diamond jubilee with physically challenged people in his village.
He ate, drank, and danced with them, while also blessing them with cash and food items.
The event, which took place at his compound, brought together individuals across Abi and Yakurr. Honourable Egbona spent the day engaging with people with physically challenged, listening to their concerns, and reaffirming his commitment to promoting accessibility and equality.
In his words, "I choose to celebrate my birthday with those who inspire me the most - individuals with disabilities who defy odds and shine brightly. I pledge to continue advocating for their rights and dignity, ensuring our society becomes more inclusive and accessible for all".
