Designed to establish a Federal Medical Centre in Ugep, Cross River State, this bill seeks to address the healthcare challenges faced by people in the Cross River Central Senatorial District, eliminating the need for long-distance travel to Calabar or neighboring states for tertiary medical services.


All these bills have successfully passed the first reading, setting the stage for further deliberations.

1. Support for Victims of Communal Clashes

A call for federal intervention to provide relief packages for citizens affected by the Ovonum and Ofatura communal clashes in his constituency.

3. Security for Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs)

C'River State sets aside Jan 27 for Environmental Sanitation Exercise

The Cross River State Government has announced Saturday, January 27, 2024, between the hours of 7 am and 10 am as a day for environmental sanitation exercises across the state. The release signed by the Honourable Commissioner Ministry of Environment, Hon. Moses Osogi stipulates that movement of people and vehicles during the period shall be restricted except for those on essential duties.  He urged business owners and residents to partake in the cleaning and evacuation of waste around their surroundings during the hours of sanitation.  The release noted that defaulters shall be charged and tried by Cross River State Mobile Court.  Remember, a clean environment is everyone's business, together let's keep Cross River State Clean, green and serene.
