Arthur Jarvis University Celebrates Annual Exhibition and Expo Day, Showcasing Student Innovation and Entrepreneurial Talent

 



Arthur Jarvis University recently celebrated its annual Exhibition and Expo Day, a vibrant event that gathered guests, staff, and students from the institution. The event served as a platform to showcase the exceptional talent, innovation, and entrepreneurial spirit flourishing within the university.


During his speech, the Acting Vice Chancellor, Dr. Joe Edet, emphasized the significance of the event as a reflection of the university’s dynamic environment. He encouraged attendees to focus not only on the impressive projects displayed but also on the skills that brought them to life. "The ability to think creatively, solve problems, and translate ideas into reality is paramount for success in today's dynamic world," Edet remarked.


Dr. Edet noted the importance of adaptability and innovation in navigating an ever-changing landscape, reassuring students that they are not alone on this journey. He stressed Arthur Jarvis University's commitment to nurturing entrepreneurial talent through its well-equipped Entrepreneurship Development Centre (EDC). Under the leadership of Dr. (Mrs.) Uduak Bassey Mbang, the EDC offers invaluable resources, mentorship, and training programs designed to equip students with essential skills for success.


Additionally, Dr. Edet mentioned Mr. Christian Ibe, the Coordinator of the Acceleration Hub, who plays a crucial role in helping students refine their ideas and transform them into sustainable ventures. He urged students to take full advantage of the EDC, the Acceleration Hub, and the Innovation Hub, viewing these facilities as communities where they can connect with peers, share ideas, and learn from one another.


"Remember, the path to entrepreneurial success is rarely linear," Dr. Edet advised. "There will be challenges, setbacks, and moments of doubt, but with perseverance, dedication, and the support of our exceptional staff, you have the potential to achieve remarkable things." He concluded by encouraging students to embrace the skills and opportunities available to them and assured them of the university's unwavering support every step of the way.


Earlier, Dr. Uduak Bassey Mbang, Director of the EDC, expressed her appreciation for the support from the Vice Chancellor, Registrar, management team, facilitators, and the entire university community. She noted that the event provided a platform for students to showcase the knowledge and entrepreneurial spirit nurtured throughout the program.


Dr. Mbang also extended gratitude to the seasoned entrepreneurs who attended the event, offering invaluable insights and inspiration to the students. She acknowledged that their combined efforts significantly enriched the learning experience and contributed to making the Exhibition and Expo Day a resounding success.
