Senator Eteng Jonah Williams Disburses Funds to Support Constituents

 


In a significant move aimed at alleviating the financial burdens of his constituents, Senator Eteng Jonah Williams, representing the Central Senatorial District in Cross River State, has disbursed funds to settle rents, pay school fees, and support small-scale businesses. This initiative comes on the heels of the South-South zonal meeting of the All Progressives Congress (APC), held yesterday at the Metropolitan Hotel, Calabar. 


Today, at his residence, Senator Williams took the time to listen to the concerns and challenges faced by his constituents. He reassured them of his commitment to providing adequate representation and implementing projects that will benefit all six Local Government Areas within the Central Senatorial District.


Addressing the gathering, Senator Williams emphasized his dedication to ensuring that appointees of Central corporations are responsive to the needs of the people. He declared, "The time to fix the Central Senatorial District is now, and all hands must be on deck to channel the course."


He concluded his address with a call to unity, urging everyone to work together in building a prosperous Central Senatorial District while supporting the Governor's "people first" mantra. "Let's build Central Senatorial District together," he said, underscoring the importance of collective effort in achieving their shared goals.

C'River State sets aside Jan 27 for Environmental Sanitation Exercise

The Cross River State Government has announced Saturday, January 27, 2024, between the hours of 7 am and 10 am as a day for environmental sanitation exercises across the state. The release signed by the Honourable Commissioner Ministry of Environment, Hon. Moses Osogi stipulates that movement of people and vehicles during the period shall be restricted except for those on essential duties.  He urged business owners and residents to partake in the cleaning and evacuation of waste around their surroundings during the hours of sanitation.  The release noted that defaulters shall be charged and tried by Cross River State Mobile Court.  Remember, a clean environment is everyone's business, together let's keep Cross River State Clean, green and serene.
