The Senator noted that as part of his comprehensive logistical support to the program he had donated 10 buses daily for to and fro transportation of sick patients from the catchment areas of Biase, Akamkpa and Odukpani. The senator however stated that the medical program is open to everyone, as no sick patient will ever be turned away.

Furthermore, the senator will be providing food daily for the 1,000 patients expected daily at the hospital. According to him, the program aligns with the interventions of President Bola Tinubu and our state Governor, Senator Bassey Edet Otu providing vital support to our people." He added that the Wife of the Governor is committed to improving the health of Cross Riverians as demonstrated repeatedly with her medical outreach programs.

Senator Monday Okpebholo, representing Edo Central, the APC Governorship Candidate in Edo State, and a member of the Senate Committee on NDDC, praised Senator Ekpenyong, stating, "Senator Asuquo Ekpenyong truly has the interests of his constituents at heart, tirelessly striving to deliver the dividends of democracy."

Dr. Samuel Ogbuku, represented by Dr. Emem Abia, Managing Director of NDDC, highlighted the program's aim to provide free medical services to rural communities, aligning with SDG goals for universal health coverage. He emphasized, "Our objective is to enhance the quality of life in our region by ensuring access to free healthcare services, in line with the President's mandate on health for all."

Dr. George Uzonwanne, Director of Education, Health, and Social Services at NDDC, asked the community to thank their son, Senator Asuquo Ekpenyong for facilitating the medical program and locating the outreach in Akamkpa Local Government Area. He thanked Senator Ekpenyong for his continued support to the commission to achieve its developmental mandate.

Dr. Henry Ayuk, Commissioner of Health in Cross River State, expressed gratitude, saying, "Healthcare should be accessible to all, and we appreciate Senator Ekpenyong, NDDC, and everyone involved. We will continue to provide services beyond this program's conclusion, improving hospital facilities to better serve our communities.

Hon. Okon Owuna, Member representing Akamkpa State Constituency 1, lauded Senator Ekpenyong's efforts, noting, "This is the first time in years that a Senator has brought free medical outreach to our people. Recently, he installed 1,000 Solar Lights across Akamkpa LG, and has supported our community with jobs, empowerment, and educational aid.

More initiatives are on the way from his office."
