Cross River's representative on the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) board, Rt. Hon. Orok Duke, has pledged to address all abandoned projects in the state.
During a Friday inspection of the abandoned skill acquisition center in Akpabuyo local government area, Duke emphasized the project's importance to both Akpabuyo and Cross River. He noted that completing such a significant project would greatly benefit the local economy and help reduce youth unemployment and related unrest.
Duke assured that he would advocate for the completion of all abandoned projects in Cross River before the NDDC, expressing confidence that these projects would be reviewed and completed.
Since taking office, Duke has shown strong commitment to resolving issues impacting Cross River communities, in line with the NDDC's mandate as an intervention agency. He has consistently stated that his role at the NDDC is to support the Cross River State government's development efforts.
