National Cash Transfer Office Engages Sokoto State on Social Protection Advocacy and Collaboration


In a recent development, Dr. Janet Ekpenyong, the Deputy National Coordinator of the National Cash Transfer Office, spearheaded a crucial social protection advocacy mission to Sokoto State. Accompanied by fellow staff members, they engaged in extensive discussions with pertinent stakeholders and state government officials regarding the National Social Safety Net Program Scale Up (NASSP-SU).


During the visit, the team meticulously examined key areas of interest and viable projects within the state, aiming to bolster existing achievements and foster deeper collaboration between the Sokoto State Government and the National Cash Transfer Office in Abuja.


Upon their arrival, the Sokoto State delegation, led by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Alhaji Muhammad Bello Sifawa, the Chief of Staff to the Governor (CoS), Alhaji Aminu Dikko, Commissioner for Women and Children Affairs, Hajia Khadiza Ahmad Shagari, and Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Women and Children Affairs, Alhaji Hayatu Aliyu, extended a warm welcome to the visiting team.


Furthermore, the team engaged with the staff of the State cash transfer office, offering words of encouragement and pledging unwavering support towards realizing shared objectives for the advancement of Sokoto State and Nigeria as a whole. This collaborative effort underscores a commitment to enhancing social protection initiatives and promoting sustainable development across the nation.
