Cross River State Commissioner for Environment Hon. Moses Osogi has been appointed as Member, Board of Governing Council of the Federal University,Dutse Jigawa State
The list of appointment is released by the Federal Ministry of Education and signed by its Permanent Secretary Mrs. Didi Esther Walson-Jack, comprising five names each for 50 universities, 37 Polytechnics and 24 colleges of Education.
The Governing Council is the highest policy and decision making body for Tertiary institutions and also supervises the management of universities including the supervision of employment of staff and promotion, policy Making, approval of academic programs etc.
The list of appointment is coming shortly after Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASSU) demanded the immediate reinstatement of suspended Governing Council of Universities .
Being an innovative leader, Hon. Moses Osogi's appointment will undoubtedly leave indelible marks in the institution and the Nation at large.
