According to him, the former Cross River Health Commissioner was suspended 7 days after she raised the alarm and demanded an investigation into the financial misappropriation. Inyali Peter Reacts to Attempt to Drag His Name into Alumni Battle with the Varsity Governing Council.

Inyali wrote👇👇👇 On the spurious attempt to drag my name into alumni battle with the governing council, I make bold to state the following for record purposes: 1. As the President of Alumni, I am an automatic council member, as granted by Article (j) Section 6 of the Third Schedule of the University of Cross River State Establishment Law No. 2 (2020), and not at the discretion of the council,  management or anybody. 2. On emerging president, I was formally invited and attended a council sitting, and my entitlement as a member, settled. 3. If the council subsequently decided to hold 'secret' meetings to exclude the alumni (a decision that's against the legal advice of the university's legal adviser) because they feel the president is "too close to government" (whatever that means), then every lover of the university should be worried about what they are doing and why they're so scared. 4. The battle for the soul of the university embarked upon by the alum

RE : UNICROSS Alumni Governing Council Chairman HRM Utsu Felix Okudare Deserves An Apology From 'Iyali' Peter For Describing Him As Incompetent Leader

The attention of the National Executive Council (NEC) of the University of Cross River State (UNICROSS) Alumni Association has been drawn to a malicious social media post by a "concerned alumnus", referenced above. We would have ignored him for the vituperation, but the post mentioned the Paramount Ruler of Obudu local government and Acting Governing Council Chairman, His Royal Majesty Utsu Felix Okudare, in an inciteful manner. To set the record straight, the NEC's communique calling for the reconstitution of the governing council did not mention HRM Utsu Felix Okudare's name nor described him as incompetent leader. Our concern was the council's *decision-making process, inefficiency, and pressure on the university's resources through frequent meetings*.  The council's frequent sittings and committee meetings are unsustainable, especially considering the university's struggles to pay staff salaries and legitimate claims. *Between February to date, the

UNICROSS: Why We're Heading to Court, Seeking Reconstitution of Governing Council

By Barr. Romeo Ojong Since the National Executive Council (NEC) of the Unicross Alumni Association released a communiqué calling for the dissolution and reconstitution of the university's governing council, there have been misleading insinuations spread by a few ignorant individuals and a minority within the association who have become tools for some retrogrades in the council. These individuals aim to create confusion within the system. The alumni association took this bold step not for personal benefits but to save the university from further decline. The battle to save the university's soul from corrupt individuals who only care about personal gains has been ongoing, and we are determined to stand up against them. As critical stakeholders and the real owners of the university, we believe it's our responsibility to ensure the institution's progress. The university has stagnated, especially in the past two years, due to the ineffective governing council. Despite the in

Private Security Success: Tantita's Role in Curbing Oil Theft Praised by NPVNBO

National Probity and Value for Nation building Organization (NPVNBO) has recently become aware of the statement issued by the Coalition of Civil Society Groups in Nigeria regarding the awarding of oil pipeline surveillance contracts to security companies. The coalition has specifically highlighted the contract given to Tantita Ltd, owned by Government Ekpemupolo, also known as Tompolo. It's important to first acknowledge the dire state of the nation's oil sector before the security companies, particularly Tantita Security Company Limited, came on board. When the armed forces were solely responsible for pipeline protection, Nigeria's oil output had plummeted to a mere 500,000 barrels per day, resulting in unprecedented levels of crude oil theft and minimal profits for the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL). This had seriously damaged the nation's economy and environment. However, since the engagement of Tantita Security Services to safeguard our crit
