Cross River Government takes action against sanitation defaulters as Sanitation holds on Saturday

In a bid to continue promoting cleanliness and environmental sustainability in Cross River State, the Commissioner for Environment Hon. Moses Osogi has announced 30th March 2024 as statewide environmental sanitation for March.

He noted that business owners and residents are encouraged to participate in various cleanliness drives, and waste disposal activities, around their surroundings during the sanitation period.

Furthermore, restrictions on human and vehicular movements begin from 6:30 am to 10 am except for those on essential duties.

For emphasis residents are urged to actively engage in these monthly sanitation efforts, recognizing their role in fostering a cleaner, greener, and more sustainable future for generations to come.

The commissioner concluded that defaulters would be prosecuted by the Cross River Government.
