The deplorable condition of roads in Lebang-Lokpoi is very pitiable. Besides the bad roads, no electricity other facilities such as health centers do not exist at all.
Many lives have been lost because of the state of our roads.
The people of Lebang-Lokpoi live in penury, they need an improved life and they are crying out for help from the governor Senator Prince Bassey Edet Otu.
The bad condition of the roads in these communities has made the people not to be able to transport their businesses to the Mkpani community due to the deplorable condition.
The Chairman of Cyclist who narrated the situation, said that both the Cross River State Government and the Niger- Delta Development Commission, NDDC, have abandoned his people to their fate. Interestingly, Lebang/Lokpoi can supply timber and sand to Cross Riverians to build their houses.

"We used to pay 100 naira but because of the high rate of petrol and the state of the road, we are paying 500 naira for a 15-minute drive if the road is in good condition".
"This time no one should have a justification that we do not support the ruling party, because we voted massively for them, they should look into our plight and help us before the rainy season".
"During the rainy season, no matter how skilled you think you are, you can not drive on the road, is as bad, as you can ever visualize".
He pleaded to the Prince Edet Otu-led new government in the state to come to the rescue of the Lebang-Lokpoi communities and also implored the Senator representing Central Sen.
