New Year Message: Senator Eteng Williams Felicitates With Constituents, Pledges 2024 Will Be About Projects And Empowerment



The Senator Representing Cross River Central Senatorial District and Chairman, Senate Committee on Petroleum Upstream has felicitated with the wonderful people of Central Senatorial District, Cross Riverians, and Nigerians in welcoming the New Year.  


Senator Williams according to a New Year message to his constituents, which was released by his Media Office said despite daunting challenges and prolonged post-election litigation, he has recreated the concept of quality representation through sponsorship of impactful bills and motions in the floor of the red Chambers, empowerment/employment of the people and infrastructure development set to be dotted across the district.  


He said that “2024 would be about projects and empowerment to the people of  Cross River Central Senatorial district”  


“Empowerment of my people will continue to remain my priority area in the New Year. “No community in the district will be left behind in my development plan for the district.  


Senator Williams called on Nigerians not to lose hope despite the challenges facing the Country, but to remain positive and do those things that would continue to promote peace and unity, adding there shall be light at the end of the tunnel.

C'River State sets aside Jan 27 for Environmental Sanitation Exercise

The Cross River State Government has announced Saturday, January 27, 2024, between the hours of 7 am and 10 am as a day for environmental sanitation exercises across the state. The release signed by the Honourable Commissioner Ministry of Environment, Hon. Moses Osogi stipulates that movement of people and vehicles during the period shall be restricted except for those on essential duties.  He urged business owners and residents to partake in the cleaning and evacuation of waste around their surroundings during the hours of sanitation.  The release noted that defaulters shall be charged and tried by Cross River State Mobile Court.  Remember, a clean environment is everyone's business, together let's keep Cross River State Clean, green and serene.
