President Tinubu Swears-In Betta Edu, John Owan, Umahi, Others As Ministers


President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is currently administering the oath of office to about 45 ministers-designate to formally commence their duties in the new administration.

The swearing-in ceremony is taking place at the State House Conference Centre in Abuja.

Yusuf M Tuggar was among the first batch of five ministers-designate to take the oath as he was sworn in as the Minister of Foreign Affairs. Following him was Joseph Utsev, who was sworn in as the Minister of Water and Sanitation Resources. Muhammad A. Pate took the oath as the Coordinating Minister of Health and Social Welfare.

Among the dignitaries present are Vice President Kashim Shettima, Senate President Godswill Akpabio, and House of Representatives Speaker Tajudeen Abbas.

C'River State sets aside Jan 27 for Environmental Sanitation Exercise

The Cross River State Government has announced Saturday, January 27, 2024, between the hours of 7 am and 10 am as a day for environmental sanitation exercises across the state. The release signed by the Honourable Commissioner Ministry of Environment, Hon. Moses Osogi stipulates that movement of people and vehicles during the period shall be restricted except for those on essential duties.  He urged business owners and residents to partake in the cleaning and evacuation of waste around their surroundings during the hours of sanitation.  The release noted that defaulters shall be charged and tried by Cross River State Mobile Court.  Remember, a clean environment is everyone's business, together let's keep Cross River State Clean, green and serene.
