By Kingsley Agim
Cross River Commissioner for Health, Dr. Henry Egbe Ayuk has charged Directors, Programme Managers and Desk Officers at health related Ministries, Departments and Agencies in the State to demonstrate competency for supportive supervision of health institutions, programmes and facilities under their purview.
Dr. Ayuk made the call, recently, while delivering a training on the development of checklist for supportive supervision for health projects in the State.
The Health Commissioner, who warned personnel against complacency in the discharge of their duties, further enjoined them to prioritise quality service delivery through effective supervision for the attainment of project objectives, sustainability and overall enthronement of Universal Health Coverage in the State.
The training was well attended, notably, by the Permanent Secretary, Cross River State Health Insurance Agency, Dr. Comfort Ekanem, representatives from the State AIDS Control Programme, State Agency for the Control of AIDS, and the State Tuberculosis Programme.
