The Deputy Governor of Cross River State Rt. Hon. Peter Odey has assured youths' of inclusiveness in government.
Odey who stated this while addressing the National Youth Council of Nigeria Cross River State Chapter on Wednesday in Calabar, acknowledged that Youths played a critical role during the elections.
He noted that youths must be involved in the execution of government policies that will advance development. He mentioned that youths that are serving at the Federal level today are doing very well because of opportunities that were given and as such youths must be included in governance.
Odey added that his office is open for the youths.
Earlier the National Youth Council Of Nigeria Cross River State Chapter ably led by the State Chairman His Youthfulness Comrade Daniel Obo paid a courtesy visit to the Deputy Governor Rt. Hon. Peter Odey.
The visit was tagged "Thank-you visit" by the Chairman.
Daniel during his remark noted that the youth house wholeheartedly supported the Governor because of His Deputy. This involved going everywhere, in the 18 LGAs to campaign and preach about the need for power rotation
Daniel further explained that if there’s any platform that wasn’t funded during the elections, it’s the NYCN-CRS. The chairman openly called on anyone who funded the Youth Council to come out and say it now.
Chairman reminds the deputy governor that after 8 years, it will be back to Central, and all they will need is the Deputy Governor's support so that at the end of the day, everyone will know that the fight and struggle are done by everyone.
The high point of the visit was the presentation of a portrait to the Deputy Governor and a photo session.
