NASET confers Fellow Award on UNICAL VC

Internal Security: C'River Government to support Peace Corps to Complement Security Agencies

The Secretary to the Cross River State Government Prof. Anthony Owan Enoh, has promised that the Governor will incorporate the Peace Corps of Nigeria into the security architecture of the State to complement the fight against insecurity. Not relenting in her desire to reposition the Institution and re-write her fledgling narrative, the Vice Chancellor of the University of Calabar, Prof. Florence Banku Obi, has commended the passion and initiative of the Chairman and members of the Board of Trustees (BOT) of the University's Trust and Endowment Fund (T&EF). Prof. Obi made the commendation while delivering a PowerPoint presentation on the University at the Inaugural meeting of the T&EF-BOT held at the Council Chambers of the institution in Calabar. While welcoming all the BOT members, both those physically present and others who joined online, the Vice Chancellor recalled how upon his being honoured with an honoris causa, the BOT Chairman, H/E, Mr Donald Duke, one-time Governor of Cross River State, pledged to set up an endowment fund for the University.
