NAWOJ Cross River State Chapter Congratulates Imani Odey On Her Re- Appointment

The Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ), Cross River State Chapter has congratulated Comrade Imani Odey on her recent re-appointment as Special Assistant on Electronic Media to the Governor of Cross River State, Senator Bassey Edet Otu.
The statement was signed by the NAWOJ Chairman Cross River State Chapter, Mrs. Umo-Basi Edet and the secretary, Comrade Maria Ewa in Calabar.
NAWOJ in a statement, said the appointment was another testimony of Comrade Imani’s hardwork, resilience and steadfastness as a dependable media guru and a rare personality of focus who in the past administration has proved her dedication to deliver effectively as an Appointee.
The statement also commended Governor Edet Otu for what it described as diplomatic protocols extended to Imani again, to enable her to function professionally on her State assignments once more.
According to the Association, the previous appointments and engagements as well as her experience in the media space, confirms Comrade Imani, as an inspiration to the present and future generations. The statement describes Imani's re-appointment as a justification of previous meritorious works with experience, capacity, and competencies required to head such a sensitive position in this present administration. The group prayed God for good health, wisdom , grace and the Spirit of Excellence on Comrade Imani so as to serve the state and the world as God will direct her and order her footsteps.

C'River State sets aside Jan 27 for Environmental Sanitation Exercise

The Cross River State Government has announced Saturday, January 27, 2024, between the hours of 7 am and 10 am as a day for environmental sanitation exercises across the state. The release signed by the Honourable Commissioner Ministry of Environment, Hon. Moses Osogi stipulates that movement of people and vehicles during the period shall be restricted except for those on essential duties.  He urged business owners and residents to partake in the cleaning and evacuation of waste around their surroundings during the hours of sanitation.  The release noted that defaulters shall be charged and tried by Cross River State Mobile Court.  Remember, a clean environment is everyone's business, together let's keep Cross River State Clean, green and serene.
