Asibong Celebrates 7th Annual Christmas/New Year Festival with Constituents, Stakeholders

Cross River State Commissioner for International Development Cooperation, Obonganwan Dr Inyang Asibong over the holidays, celebrated Christmas with constituents of Calabar South Local Government Area and stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in her country home.
This is in continuation of the yearly Christmas hosting with the natives as part of her annual outreaches which the Commissioner began years back. In a goodwill message, Asibong stated that the year-end gathering was in continuation of the footprints of Governor Ben Ayade in reaching out to the people, especially the less privileged and other categories of persons. According to Asibong, the yuletide celebrations began years back to show gratitude to the people of Calabar South and to spread the message of love and oneness. "Today, we have gathered again like we have done in the last couple of years to celebrate Christmas together. It is a thing of great joy to identify with the people for celebrations. "This is to enable us to sit together and reach out to people with a token for their support to the present Administration in Cross River State and to discuss with party men and women", an elated Asibong noted. She urged the people to continue to support the APC led Administration at all levels in the forthcoming general elections in 2023 to take the state to greater heights. The year-end celebrations witnessed distribution of food items and cash to the natives, students, widows and other categories of persons; goodwill messages, cultural performances by various troupes displaying the rich cultural heritage of the Efik kingdom and other entertainments to fun seekers.
