Law school impersonation: AGF exonerates Barr. Frank Alami Ayade

The Attorney General of the Federation (AGF), has exonerated Mrs Alami Frank Ayade, from any involvement with one Barrister Pascal Aboh, who was said to have allegedly sat for the Nigerian Bar Examination for the Cross River State Governor’s in-law.

In a suit marked FCT/BW/CR/35/22, Idoko Odeh and Barrister Paschal Bekongfe Aboh, were mentioned as 1st and 2nd defendants respectively, with five count charge, bothering on criminal conspiracy, forgery and impersonation.

Recall that it was reported that Barr Aboh, a suspended law lecturer at the university of calabar, was nabbed and arrested for allegedly impersonating and re-sitting an exam for a student at the Nigerian Law School in Bwari, Abuja

A source had claimed that the student was Mrs Alami Ayade, the sister in-law to the Cross River state governor, Ben Ayade.

Alami, however denied any involvement with the defendants, noting that she sat for her law school examination, which was held in May 2022, from the start to finish.

Gladly, Mrs Ayade was called to Bar on July 27, 2022 in Abuja, an event that attracted family members and friends.

Court documents made available shows that Mrs Ayade, has however, been cleared of any involvement with the defendants, as Odeh, had used the picture of Aboh, in the forged Identity card, used in sitting for exams for one Orekoya kayode and not Mrs Ayade.

Pursuant to section 104 and 379 of the administration criminal justice Act 2015, both the first and second defendants were allegedly found guilty of criminal conspiracy contrary to section 96 of the penal code law and punishable under section 97 of the law.

The defendants were also allegedly charged with forgery contrary to section 363 of the penal code law and punishable under section 364 of the law.

The charge further read “that you Idoko Odeh, adult male of Nigerian law school Bwari, Abuja, and Barr. Pascal Bekongfe Aboh, Adult male of 47, between 9th to 12th of may 2022, at a Nigerian law school in Abuja, within the jurisdiction of this honorable court, did conspire, amongst yourselves, to forge Nigeria law school student identity card to reflect the name of Orekoya Kayode but having on it, the passport photograph of Barrister Pascal Bekongfe Aboh, and you thereby committed an offense”.

“That you Idoko Odeh, while being a staff of the ICT department, of the Nigerian law school, did forge application to re-sit the bar final examination form council, of legal education, Nigerian law school, Bwari campus, Abuja, within the jurisdiction of this honourable court.

Count two being “forgery contrary to section 363 of the penal code law and punishable under section 364 of the law.

The defendants were also charged with alleged “conspiracy to cheat by personation, contrary to section 96 of the penal code law and punishable under section 97 of the law

“That You Idoko Odeh and Barr Pascal Bekongfe Aboh, did conspire amongst yourselves to cheat, by personation in the BAR PART II re-sit examination, conducted by the Nigerian law school and you thereby committed an offense”.

This however, clears Mrs Ayade of all the false allegations against her and all attempts to drag her name to the mud.
