2023: Dr Betta Edu Donates 1Million Naira For Grassroot Mobilization Hosts APC Women With Disabilities




National Women Leader of the All Progressives Congress APC, Dr Betta Edu, the deputy National Women Leader,  hon Zainab Ibrahim and the national leader of people living with disabilities,  hon Tolu Bankole earlier today  hosted members of the APC Women With Disabilities Forum in her office at the APC national secretariat, Abuja. 


In a statement by the special Adviser to the national women leader on Political Matters, Seun Bosede Osamaye,  the group comprising of women with disabilities whose membership were drawn from the 36 states  of the federation and the FCT were on a courtesy visit to the National Women Leader in solidarity with the activities of the office of the Woman leader and in support of the Presidential Candidate of the APC, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu. 


The leader of the group who led the delegation, Hon. Lois Auta reaffirmed confidence in the office of the woman leader, stating that members of the group are proud of the leadership qualities of Dr Betta Edu and are in full support of her activities as the 2023 elections draws close. 

She also restates the unflinching support of the women living with disabilities for the victory of APC and  the victory of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the forthcoming presidential election. She noted that the had over 2 million members across the country and will assure the APC candidates of 1.5m votes


Dr Betta Edu thanked the group for the visit which she described as strategic and historic as She charged them to further make history by mobilising their members to cast their votes for the presidential candidate of the party in the coming election. She alongside her deputy , hon Zainab charged them to continue to mobilize their members through  phone calls, text messages and other media as well as meetings and door to door. 


Hon Tolu Bankole, The APC National leader of people living with disabilities in the same vein reiterates the commitment of the All Progressives Congress to keep its social  contracts with members of PLWD. He promised more funds will be added if we see good Mobilisation 


The leadership of the group in attendance include Hon Lois Auta, Convener/National Coordinator, FCT, National Secretary, Rose Daniel (North West Coordinator) Kaduna State, Assistant Financial Secretary, Linda Dung, FCT, National Treasurer, Hon. Kyennan Mizim, North Central Coordinator (Plateau State), Welfare Coordinator, Fatima Mohammed, FCT, Strategist - Hon. Juliana Bebua Diwa South-South Coordinator (Cross River State), Assistant Strategist, Hon. Shoniwe Bolaji Foluwasewa. (Lagos State), Miyausa Wayuta, North East Coordinator (Borno State) and Hon Salamatu Mohammed, who was the sign Language Interpreter at the event.

 

The National Women Leader, Dr. Betta Edu announced the donation of the sum of #1,000,000 (one million naira) to the group for grassroots mobilisation and sensitisation which was the highlight of the event.
