CR ASSEMBLY CONDEMNS COMMUNAL CLASH,CALLS ON MILITARY TO STOP FURTHER ONSLAUGHT

  By Itam Offor The House of Assembly has condemned in totality the communal clash between Nko community in Yakurr, and Onyedama in Obubura Local Government Areas of the State. 10 Years After: Prof. Florence Banku Obi Completes UNICAL Law Faculty Building

EFCC Cautions Nigerians Against Vote Buying

  The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC,   has called on Nigerians to refrain from every act of vote buying and vote selling in the nation’s electoral processes. The call was made in Abuja by the Secretary to the Commission, Dr. George Ekpungu, while receiving a delegation of the  Civil Society Partners on Electoral Reform, CISPER,  who paid a courtesy visit to the EFCC. The Secretary noted that every leadership’s recruitment process in the country is very vital, and called on Nigerians to avoid selling their votes and their future to the highest bidder in the course of elections. Azogor Ideba   At 29, Asuquo Ekpenyong Jr. (Suki) was nominated as Commissioner for Finance by His Excellency, Senator (Prof) Benedict Ayade, Governor of Cross River State. He became renowned for being the youngest commissioner in the country. It is perhaps, no longer news that on May 28th, 2022, Asuquo Ekpenyong Jr. emerged the All-Progressives Congress Southern Cross River State Senatorial Candidate for the 2023 general election after pulling a stunning total of 347 votes out of 351 votes cast in the primary election. What is rather fascinating is the making and remaking of history, best described as ‘history in pursuit of serendipity’.
