BY: OKPOKIRI PETER

The Cross River State Commandant of the Peace Corps of Nigeria, Patriot (Dr.) Dominic Okweche has said the 9th Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria has given Peace Corps Officers, families, friends and associates all over the Country a reason to celebrate 2022 Easter in a special way.

Arising from the Passage of the Nigerian Peace Corps Bill by the Senate on Tuesday, April 12th, 2022, the Commandant said it is now clear that the teaming Nigerian Youths have hope to be gainfully employed when assented to by  President Buhari.

He thanked the Senate for putting smiles on the faces of thousands of Nigerians on the timely Justice done on the Bill.

The Commandant posited that the National Commandant, Prof. Dickson A. O. Akoh has been relentless in this special project and has denied himself pleasure to ensuring the youth has a place in contributing to halt insecurity in the Country. This, he has done with dedication  and commitments to national development.

The Commandant urged all Officers in the State and Country at large to remain steadfast and supportive to this Noble course.

Happy Easter celebration.
