Christmas is a season of Unreserved and Unquantifiable Show of Love

The Director General of the Cross River State Primary Healthcare Development Agency, Dr Janet Ekpenyong has called on Christians and humanity to display unreserved and Unquantifiable love to others in commemoration of the birth of Jesus Christ.

In a goodwill message to mark this year's feast, the DG said, Christians must emulate the practical teachings of  God, who against all odds, gave out His most precious gift , an example we must emulate as believers considering the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic on individuals and families.

She encouraged Cross Riverians to share the message of Disease prevention to compliment the efforts of Government in raising a healthy society devoid of common preventable deaths .

"It's another wonderful time of the year, where we as Christians Celebrate the birth of our Lord and saviour, Jesus Christ, a free and  perfect gift that came to redeem the whole of humanity.

As we celebrate on this day and all through the rest of the season, I encourage us all to show huge and Unquantifiable love to those around us with an unreserved show of benevolence especially to the less privileged and those who have been affected by the effect of diseases especially the Covid-19 pandemic.

I wish to remind us all of the need to celebrate with caution minding the facts that we are still fighting a pandemic and due to the season, people are now prone to various communicable diseases.

As a state and an agency, we are committed to meet the health needs of our people, irrespective of where they are and in what condition they may be. I encourage all to support His Excellency as he strives to ensure all Cross Riverians have access to quality Healthcare.  I also urge all eligible adults to get vaccinated against  the dreaded Covid-19 virus and also observe all laid down protocols as we strive towards achieving herd immunity.

It is my desire that we have a wonderful and concern free Celebration filled with joy and happiness.

Merry Christmas and a Prosperous new year ahead".

Dr Janet Ekpenyong
