Group drums support for DG TRAMA as APC's Next State Chairman

 



The Unified Commercial Drivers Association of Cross River State through their chairman Pastor Thomas Effiom Okon has urged the leadership of the party to zone the Apc State Chairmanship to Ogoja and support the aspirations of Mr. Godwin Nyiam as the next Chairman at the party's forthcoming State convention.


The Association Chairman made the call at the press conference held at transcorps Calabar, today, the 26th of September 2021.


Okon said,  Nyiam, a one-time aspirant of the North senatorial seat and the DG of Traffic Management and Regulatory Agency (TRAMA) was completely outstanding, Young among other contestants for the position,  having the pedigree and experience to deliver on the Job as State Chairman.


According to him, zoning the Chairmanship to Ogoja and supporting Nyiam's candidature is critical to ensuring the party's success and Unity.



He added that many crossriverians would decamp from People Democratic Party( PDP) to APC because of Nyima's styles of leadership.



Pst.  Concluded by saying" Nyima held various political positions in the state, his wealth of experience as a grassroots politician will move the party forward and his leadership will bring about love, unity, and progress for the overall interest of the party".

C'River State sets aside Jan 27 for Environmental Sanitation Exercise

The Cross River State Government has announced Saturday, January 27, 2024, between the hours of 7 am and 10 am as a day for environmental sanitation exercises across the state. The release signed by the Honourable Commissioner Ministry of Environment, Hon. Moses Osogi stipulates that movement of people and vehicles during the period shall be restricted except for those on essential duties.  He urged business owners and residents to partake in the cleaning and evacuation of waste around their surroundings during the hours of sanitation.  The release noted that defaulters shall be charged and tried by Cross River State Mobile Court.  Remember, a clean environment is everyone's business, together let's keep Cross River State Clean, green and serene.
