The Executive Chairman, State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), Mr Victor Odo has charged principals of the Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC) Secondary Schools to have an open door and inclusive policy to ensure a smoother relationship between staff and also the communities where the schools are located.
The SUBEB boss gave the admonition during a recent visit to the UBEC Schools in Abi and Yala Local Government Areas as part of his familiarization tour.
Mr Odo said “a healthy relationship between the schools and host communities will continue to foster a conducive working and learning environment for both staff and students.”
The Board Chairman called on parents and guardians to take advantage of the quality of education offered at the three UBEC Schools in Akpabuyo, Abi and Yala LGAs by sending their children and wards.
He further commended Governor Ben Ayade for the political will to commence academic activities in these model schools, which he said were not in use before the current administration.
The UBEC Junior Secondary Schools with boarding facilities have been running since 2016 under the management of the Board.
