PLIDE Partners CRSG and Asuquo Ekpenyong Foundations on Education benefits 1000 Secondary school Students in the State

 



Passionately committed boosting academic performance and excellence of students of the state, the Cross River Government under the leadership of Senator Professor Ben Ayade has gone into collaboration with Plide and Asuquo Ekpenyong Foundation, donates learning materials to 1000 students from 5 different Governments secondary schools in the state. 



The Exercise which took place at the West African Peoples Institution WAPI, is one of the various mediums in which His Excellency Senator Prof Benedict Ayade extends his support to the school children in the state and had in attendance beneficiaries from Big Quo Girls Secondary school, Government secondary school Ikot Ansa, West African peoples Institute, etc. 

 

Speaking during the Outreach exercise held at The West African People Institute, Calabar, the country Representative Of PLIDE Mrs Olubukola Adeyemi expressed appreciation to the state governor, Senator Professor Ben Ayade for having the interest of the future leaders of the state and nation at heart. 


Mrs. Olubukola who asserted that for Ayade administration going into collaboration with PLIDE and Chief Asuquo Ekpenyong Foundations is a clear indication that the welfare and education of the young people is of high premium to the Governor and his administration. 


She disclosed that the foundation is highly pleased to be in Calabar to carry out the exercise and thanked the state Government for making sure the Exercise is a success, adding that PLIDE will continue to support the state Government to reach out to the school children to enable them have a safe and wonderful learning experience. 


"its a big pleasure to see the organization of these schools. I want to thank the Ministry of Education for putting this together and ensuring we have a safe environment to carry out this exercise. 


"I want to urge all the students to aim for the top as this is just a means to boost your desire and drive for success" Mrs Adeyemi concluded. 


Addressing the students, the Commissioner for Education represented by the Director for Schools, Mr Obeten Ikpi Ewa, called on the students to be motivated by the donations from Both Foundations as the gesture is to show them that the Government loves them and will always support and provide adequate tools that will ensure a comfortable learning experience for them. 


Also speaking, the Senior Special Adviser on Education, Mr. Castro Ezama placed a sponsorship price tag for the Best Student in the forth coming WAEC examinations and stated that the gesture is to spur the children even further to achieve Educational Excellence 


Further more, Mr Marcel Edet representing the Asuquo Ekpenyong Foundation added that basically the Foundation is out to support and Encourage the future leaders of tomorrow and Thanked PLIDE for choosing to come to Calabar amd partner with the  State to carry out the Outreach.

Mass Communication Alumni: Class of 2006-2010, Donate Public Address System, Lecterns to Unicross Mass Communication Department

The Cross River University of Technology (CRUTECH) Mass Communication Alumni, Class of 2006-2010, have donated a Public Address System and two lecterns to the Department of Mass Communication.  This philanthropic act underscores the alumni’s dedication to enhancing educational resources and supporting the development of the institution that played a pivotal role in their formative years. The donation ceremony took place on Monday, July 29, 2024, at the office of the Head of the Department of Mass Communication.  During the event, Mr. Usani Ebri Omini, President of the 2006-2010 Alumni Association, expressed the collective sentiment of his peers. "Our time in the department was transformative, and although we lost some colleagues along the way, those experiences shaped who we are today," he said.
