Admission into the Joint Universities Preliminary Examinations Board (JUPEB) Programme for 2020/2021 Academic Session

- JUPEB -  A Programme that Admits you into 200 level. All JUPEB Affiliate Universities Accept it, in combination with direct entry form

-Through JUPEB, University of Calabar offers Direct Entry Admission into Law, Engineering, Medicine, Pharmacy, Accounting, Management, Economics, Agriculture, Education, English & Literary Studies, etc.

Applications are hereby invited from suitable qualified candidates for admission into the joint Universities Preliminary Examinations Board (JUPEB) for 2020/2021 session

The Programme leads to the award of JUPEB Certificate which enables candidates gain Direct Entry Admission into University of Calabar, Calabar and other JUPEB-affiliated Universities in Nigeria and abroad



                                                   ELIGIBILITY   

Eligible candidates must posses a minimum of 5 credits at a maximum of two sittings in at least 5 subjects (including English Language and Mathematics) relevant to the candidate’s desired course of study in the university

                                                   DURATION

The duration of the programme is a minimum of one academic session of two semesters

 Candidates are to note that the above listed subject combinations meet the requirements for admission into Degree Programmes in Sciences, Social Sciences, Engineering, Medicine, Pharmacy, Law, Education, Management Sciences, Arts courses in all JUPEB affiliated Universities in Nigeria including University of Calabar.

Candidates are to note that University of Calabar admits into Year (1) for medicine through JUPEB.


                                 METHOD OF APPLICATION

To pay and register for JUPEB University of Calabar, follow the steps below to generate invoice and pay for Unical-JUPEB registration through eTranzact

1. Visit Unical website; https//jupeb.unical.edu.ng

2. Click on the link ‘Apply Now ’ This will link you to Unical-JUPEB Application platform

3. On the ‘Generate Payment Invoice’ at your left hand panel of the platform, carefully fill out the details required starting with your First name, Middle name, Surname, Phone Numbers, and your personal email

4. After this, click on ‘Generate Invoice’

5. Your generated Application Invoice will then appear on your screen containing your unique Reference Number, and candidate Payee ID. Make sure you print this page before leaving

6. Take your printed Application Invoice to any commercial bank nearest to you. Inform the cashier that you are to pay for Unical-JUPEB Application fee eTranzact

7. When you are done with the payment of N15,000.00, the cashier will give you a printed Payment Receipt containing your confirmation Code

8. Take the payment Receipt back to the portal (Please do not do this application using your phone to avoid errors, it must be done on a PC). Repeat Step1 and 2 above to continue your Registration

9. On the ‘Continue Registration’ panel after repeating step 1 and 2 above, enter your student payee ID and Bank Confirmation Code from your payment Receipt in the space provided and hit the ‘Proceed’ Button to Continue

10. Complete your Application and attach your passport (the passport must be a colored passport photograph on a white background and must not be more than three months old before the time of application), then click submit

11. Print out your acknowledgment slip


                                                     GENERAL INFORMATION

1. Applicants into 2020/2021 Unical-JUPEB Programme are advised to check our website or call Unical-JUPEB Director from time to time for actual date of screening and other relevant information

2. All candidates are required to register for 2021 Direct Entry JAMB form during the Programme

3. All candidates are required to use ‘Submit online’ either immediately or within two weeks of accessing the website. NO downloaded or printed copies or forms will be accepted

4. Applicants are to note that 2022/2021 screening shall hold at the University of Calabar, Calabar

5. Candidates are advised to follow the application Instruction very carefully and ensure they select the correct SUBJECT COMBINATIONS. Failure to do so may adversely affect the candidate.
