Rotary 40th Installation Ceremony:Dr Janet Ekpenyong Receives "Community Service Award




The Rotary Club Calabar has awarded the Director General of the Cross River State Primary Healthcare Development Agency Dr Janet Ekpenyong an award of "Community Service" in recognition to the numerous services she has offered to people especially in the grassroot.


The award was part of the Club's 40th installation Ceremony of it's President and Officials held at the 520 ,Kolanut and Events Centre,Calabar the Cross River State Capital had in attendance business tycons, technocrats , Academicians as well as professionals in all fields of endeavors.


While presenting the award of recognition on behalf of the group,the newly installed President of the Club,Dr Peter Ojie described Dr Janet Ekpenyong as an achiever whose services to various communities across the state has impacted immensely in the lives of the ordinary people.

"Rotary recognize the role Dr Janet Ekpenyong is playing,She has come as a very strong force In the last few months. she has been at the forefront fighting Corona Virus and other diseases around us,it is in recognition of the role she has played which translates into a better service delivery to our Communities in line with the vision of the Rotary Club that we are honouring her today".


On her part,the awardee and DG of the State Primary Healthcare Development Agency,Dr Janet Ekpenyong thanked the club for the recognition stressing that it will go a long way towards motivating her for more humanitarian gestures and Improved Healthcare delivery.


She further pledged her renewed commitment towards working with the group to improve and meet the health needs of Cross Riverians.


"I want to say a very big thank you to everyone who found me worthy to receive this award,this will encourage me to do my best ,ensure that 70% of Cross River State citizens receive improved healthcare.

Our relationship with Rotary Club has been a long one,the fact that Cross River State has been certified Polio Free is through the efforts and support from the Rotary Club Calabar as well as the Rotary Club International in fighting the disease,and that is why am dedicating this award to all the Health workers who were at the forefront fighting the disease especially those who lost their lives.


We will continue to do our best as an agency and in collaboration with your club to see that  we reach out to all Cross Riverians and offer them quality Healthcare".

Mass Communication Alumni: Class of 2006-2010, Donate Public Address System, Lecterns to Unicross Mass Communication Department

The Cross River University of Technology (CRUTECH) Mass Communication Alumni, Class of 2006-2010, have donated a Public Address System and two lecterns to the Department of Mass Communication.  This philanthropic act underscores the alumni’s dedication to enhancing educational resources and supporting the development of the institution that played a pivotal role in their formative years.
