More Communities key into Ayade's vision as Female Clan head Upgrades PHC Akai Effa

 


More Communities are beginning to key into Senator Ben Ayade's vision in taking healthcare to the doorstep of every Cross Riverian as the clan head of Akai Effa Community upgrades Health post into a functional Health Centre to encourage clients patronage.


The gesture which received commendations from the Director General of the Cross River State Primary Healthcare Development Agency, Dr Janet Ekpenyong and other stakeholders in the health sector will linger in the minds of Community members in a very long time to come.


Commissioning the facility on behalf of the state Governor, Senator Ben Ayade, the DG Primary Healthcare Development Agency thanked the vision bearer and Clan Head of Akai Effa Community, High Chief Mrs Henrietta Efa-Akpera for keying into the vision of the present Administration in making healthcare available and accessible to all Cross Riverians irrespective of where they are.


Dr Ekpenyong thanked her for mobilizing people into the facility as well as championing Immunization and other health services in the area through the mobilization of town announcers as well as seeking neccesary cooperation between the Primary Healthcare Agency and members of her Community.


She further briefed the Community on the need to patronize the facility in assessing health care services especially maternal healthcare Immunization as well as other services as she called on other Community leaders to emulate Mrs  Henrietta Efa-Akpera   in renovating and the construction of health Facilities in their areas.


While touring the DG and other  guests around the facility, the Clan Head, High Chief Mrs Henrietta Efa-Akpera appreciated the Government for all of its laudable achievements in the health sector as she noted that the desire to key into Governor Ben Ayade's vision in reaching out to all Communities prompted her to the remodelling and upgrading of the health facility in her clan.


She promised to continually lend her voice and collaborate with the Cross River State Primary Healthcare Development Agency in attracting members of her Community in seeking medical care and assistance in the health facility as  She called for support to the community by sending a medical doctor which will assist the people and encourage members of the community to visit the health centre.



Also speaking,the Chairman, House committee on Health, Honourable Dr Ekpo Ekpo Bassey, thanked the vision bearer and Community leader for displaying exceptional  love towards her people as he encouraged her not to relent in her developmental strides.


High Chief Mrs Henrietta Efa-Akpera have served the community since 2015 as the 7th Clan head of Akai Effa Community in Calabar Municipal Council.
